The company directly employs seven expert staff in its Cleveland premises but indirectly, employs many more in direct and indirect services for seed collection.

The company is wholly owned by Michael Farrar who has had direct involvement in the native seed business for nearly thirty years, first as   M L Farrar Pty Limited and since 1998 in a merged entity named Austrahort.

The ethos within the company is the pursuit of excellance in the quality of seed we sell and the services that we provide, in the technology we employ and our restless pursuit of opportunities that can lead to product commercialization over time.
