The December newsletter comes with our very best wishes to all for the coming Festive Season and the wish that the New Year for all, is less turbulent than that experienced in the past three months.
Online shopping facility – we apologise for the delay in implementing this service, we are however assured that it will be fully operational shortly.
There are many seasonal perishables to be dealt with in this newsletter, seeds such as Athertonia diversifolia, Austromyrtus dulcis, Crinum pedunculatum, Diploglottis cambellii, Elaeocarpus grandis, Eugenia uniflora, Flindersia braileyana, Gmelina leichardtii, Syzygium australe, Waterhousia floribunda and others, so please review your needs and place orders as early as possible thanks.
We will have Eugenia paniculatum dwarf seeds available at $37/1000 seeds for February delivery. This is a genuine dwarf form, a shrub to 4 metres high compared to 20-30 metres for E. paniculatum. Seed is not regularly available but at present shrubs are experiencing very strong flowering giving good indication for a predicted February seed harvest.
NATIVE GRASSES Mixed Native grass and Warrego Summer grass depicted here as tub trials – seed sown first week September, fed with one application of Charlie Carp Liquid Fish Fertiliser at week six and now in head at week eleven.
The coming season will see us pursue grass crops tirelessly as we build for anticipated sales after the conclusion of the Wet – if we can interest anyone in current stocks, please call.
Also please note that our collection of Crinum pedunculatum is expected into the warehouse in the first week of January. If you have placed orders for this seed it will be dispatched as soon as received.
Christmas closure – Christmas Day falls on a Thursday so we will cease work Wednesday 24th returning January 5th – I trust that this closure will not inconvenience in any way.
Thank you for your valued custom and my very best wishes to all.
Mike Farrar
