Common Name: Mock Orange, Orange Jessamine

A tropical evergreen ornamental plant native to South Asia. Grows to 7 m tall. Leaves are glossy deep green. White flowers appear throughout the year and are highly scented resembling an orange blossom followed by small orange/red fruit resembling miniature citrus fruit. Commonly used as a garden hedge or border.

Common Name: Narrow Leaved Peppermint Gum

Endemic to south eastern Australia that grows 10 to 50 m tall. White flowers apprear October to January. The leaves are a source of Eucalyptus oil and when crushed release a peppermint scent and are a source of food for Koalas.

Common Name: Swamp Banksia

Endemic to coastal eastern Australia, a spreading shrub growing to 2.5 m. Emergent leaves are red/bronze and hairy maturing to large, leathery green with serrated edges. Flowering times vary in different areas but predominantly autumn. Flowers are large, up to 15 cm long spikes, green turning to yellow and fading to orange/brown. Attractive to many pollinators including butterflies, bees, insects and birds. Prefers a sunny position, sandy soil and extra water.
