Acacia cultriformis - Knife Leaf Wattle 

A hardy, usually erect shrub to 3m with greyish triangular phyllodes (leaves) with sharp pointed tips and bright yellow ball shaped flowers occur from late Winter to Spring.  It is a very attractive plant with both flowers and foliage a feature.  This wattle is very tolerant to a wide range of conditions and soils so useful in many situations.  Acacia cultricormis has a distribution throughout Woodland and Malee areas in south east Queensland and New South Wales, it has also naturalised in coastal areas in central and north coast New South Wales.

Corymbia ptychocarpa - Swamp Bloodwood

A tree native to north west Australia, 8-15m in height with rough, thick, fibrous to tessellated brown-grey bark, large leaves and gumnuts. It is very popular as an ornamental as it is has beautiful flowers which are usually red but can be shades of pink in Summer and Autumn but flowers can be present at other times.

Dodonaea triquetra - Forest Hop Bush / Common Hop Bush / Hop Bush

An erect shrub to 3m, usually found in dry or wet sclerophyll forest on sandy or well draining soil and usually found in north east Queensland, south east Queensland and southwards to eastern Victoria.  Flowers occur Winter to Spring and male and female flowers appear on separate plants.  The male flowers are greenish yellow and female are green with red tips, these are then followed by interesting 3 winged papery fruit.
