Common Name: Giant Spear Lily
Native to eastern Australia. A clumping perennial with a rosette formation, sword shaped leaves up to 3 m long. Red flowers appear in spring atop a 5 m stalk, rich in nectar, attracting birds, bees and other insects. Used as an architectural landscaping specimen, can be grown in containers. Hardy, low maintenance, tolerant to coastal conditions and drought resistant. Prefers sun to half shade.
