Common Name: Drunken Parrot Tree
Native to southern Africa, grows 5 to 10 m high with a canopy spread of 5 to 15 m. Flowers are deep red, appearing in spring. They produce copious amounts of nectar that drips from the flowers, attracting birds and insects. Used as a shade/ornamental tree in warm climates for gardens, parks and street plantings.
