Common Name: Nitre Bush
Native to Australia, primarily grows in saline soils of inland, coastal and disturbed/overgrazed areas. White flowers appear in spring followed by fruit from yellow to red to purple in colour. The edible fruit have a flavour of salty grapes and can be stored dried or made into preserve. A traditional food source for indigenous Australians. A low spreading shrub suitable to revegetation and erosion control.
