Common Name: Kauri Pine
A large evergreen tree growing 30 to 40 m with a large canopy, endemic to north east Queensland and Papua New Guinea. Leaves are leathery, dark green. Seed cones are 8 to 13 cm diameter, maturing 18 to 20 months after pollination at which time they release the seeds. Suitable for large gardens and parks, can be grown as an indoor plant for its interesting foliage.
