Common Name: Alexander Palm
Native to Queensland and New South Wales coastal rainforests. A single trunk palm growing 6 to 10 m. Leaves are large, dark green. Large flower clusters appear at the leaf base on the trunk follow by red berries which are bird attracting. Once seed development is finished, the cluster drops off the trunk. Prefers full sun and well-drained soils. An ornamental palm for gardens and street plantings, also good as an indoor plant.
