Common Name: Brush Cherry
Endemic to coastal rainforests of Queensland and New South Wales. In its natural habitat it can reach 35 m tall however in cultivation it is more likely to grow to 18 m. Clusters of white flowers appear in late spring/early summer are followed by pink/red fruits, edible fresh or cooked into jams and jellies. New foliage is bronze, maturing to dark, glossy green. Suitable as an ornamental garden tree or hedge.
